Robin Rose – Past Co-Chair
Employed by Preston Development Company. Rose is owner of Jellybeans Super Skate center in Cary and has been involved in the children entertainment business for more than thirty years. He brought the first ice skating facility to the triangle in 1985. He was instrumental in ice hockey and roller hockey development from its conception in the Triangle. Rose graduated from Barton College after spending 2 years at Louisburg College. He has served on the Advisory Board of the YMCA in Cary. Miracle League duties include construction, development and fundraising.

Tony Withers – Past Co-Chair
CEO of Withers & Ravenel, a land planning and engineering firm located in Cary, NC. Withers is a NCSU graduate. He served as past president for the Board of the YMCA of the Triangle and still serves on several committees. He served as past president on the board of the Eastern NC Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of which he was active for 8 years. He is also on the NC State Engineering Foundation, a rotarian (for 20+ years) and a past deacon of his church. Miracle League duties include construction, development, and fundraising.

Paul Carr – Chairman
Captain for Delta Airlines and US Air Force Reserve Colonel,Carr is a graduate of NC State University and has been active in little league, middle school and high school baseball for more than 15 years.

Jim Huggins – Immediate Past Chair
Recently retired as CEO of AlphaGraphics. Huggins has served as Chairman of the Board of Life Experiences, Chairman of the Board of the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce and is currently Treasurer for the Board of the Center for Volunteer Caregiving. He has an MBA from Northwestern University and prior to moving to Cary in 1995 had been Division Vice President and General Manager of two fortune 100 companies and President of two smaller privately held companies.

Brad McGinnis – Secretary
Brad McGinnis is President of McGinnis Development Group, a Cary based commercial real estate development company he founded in 2000. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia. Since moving to Cary in 1986 Brad has been actively involved in the community. He is Chair Elect of the Cary Community Foundation, past President of the Cary Page Rotary, a member of the Cary Visual Arts Board Executive Committee, and past member of the Board of the Cary Chamber of Commerce. Brad lives in Cary with his wife Teshia, a teacher at Cary Christian School and son Quinn and daughter Lydia both students at the School.

Jeffrey J. Eakes, CPA CTP – Treasurer
Director of Corporate Treasury at SAS Institute. Eakes is a graduate of NC State and resides in Cary with his wife, Nancy Browning. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Cary Academy, the Cary Advisory Board of Wachovia Bank and NCSU College of Management Board of Advisors. Jeff was former Finance Director for the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic. Miracle League duties include finance management.

Jerry Bowen
Jerry Bowen is Executive Vice President for Wells Fargo’s Dealer Services.  He received his B.A. in Business Management from North Carolina State University and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler business school.   He is also a certified financial planner. Jerry currently serves as a Deacon at White Memorial Church.  Previously, Jerry has served on the Board for the Triangle Area YMCA, North Carolina State University College of Management Advisory Board, Board of Directors for the Healing Place of Wake County and the United Way of Wale County Executive Giving Committee. Jerry and his family live in Raleigh.            jerry.bowen@wellsfargo.com
Joe Dew
Joe is a stay-at-home Dad and the primary caregiver for a son, Bryson, who has cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and other impairments. Joe formerly worked as a reporter for The News & Observer of Raleigh. He helped found The Ministry Incubator, a nonprofit that guides start-up nonprofit ministries, and served as board member and chairman for the Alliance of AIDS Services – Carolina. Currently, Joe serves as a Stephen Minister at his church. He is learning to sail a boat.

Linda J. Folger
Co-founder TriSure Corporation with her husband Cleve in 1994 and remains a principal Owner/ Partner. In 1998 Linda was one of the original “25 Top Women Businessowners” selected by the Triangle Business Journal. She has served on the Boards of both the Raleigh and Cary Chambers of Commerce and the Board of Advisors of the Cary YMCA and is currently on the Board of the 200 Club of Wake County and Wake County Blue Ribbon Planning Committee. A native of Salisbury, NC, Linda has a B.A. from NCSU.

Jenny Baker Myers
Jenny Baker Myers is Vice President and Principal Relationship Manager at Wells Fargo, Triangle East market. Jenny is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Jenny resides in Raleigh with her husband, Ryan. Having worked as a volunteer with Special Olympics in the past and thoroughly enjoying a very active lifestyle , Jenny is happy to serve in a leadership role enabling children with special needs to participate in a team sport.

Mary Henderson
Mary recently retired as the Director of Cary’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department following a 30 year career in Parks and Recreation. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill. In 2006 she was honored with North Carolina Recreation and Parks Association’s Fellow Award and in 2005 with the John B. Ross Leadership Award by the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau. Mary currently works part-time for Withers and Ravenel in parks and greenways planning, serves on the NC Senior Games Board, and volunteers for the US Tennis Association.

Kimberly C. Rose
Employed by Jellybeans Super Skate Center. Rose is owner of Jellycamps, a camp program for children ages 5 – 12 years of age. She has been active in youth soccer, hockey and lacrosse programs for the past 15 years. Rose graduated from UNC-CH. She currently serves as board member on West Raleigh Auxillary Club and is a prior board member of Morrisville Elementary PTA. Miracle League duties include Special Events Committee. She has no access to funds.

Yo Sobha
Yo Sobha has worked at the YMCA of the Triangle for the past 22 years and currently is the Associate Executive Director of Association Teen and Diverse Initiatives. The founder of Camp GRACE, a summer camp for children with Autism, Yo also helped create Finley Day Camp Inclusion, a part of the YMCA’s Finley Day Camp dedicated to including all children. Yo was the recipient of the John Rex Endowment Award in August 2008 for his work with children with special needs. A husband of 10 years, Yo has a son at UNC-W, and two other children in elementary school. He hopes to show how one person can influence the world in a positive, Godly way.

President/Owner of Boomer Marketing Group. Has been in the marketing/PR industry since 1986. Prior to that was in the radio business in IL and NC as sales manager and on air DJ. Graduated from SIU a long time ago. Involved in various charities in the Triangle including Rex Hospital Open, Communities in School, V Foundation and The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic; former Board of Directors for HBAWC, Lung Association, Cary Chamber of Commerce.

Dave Tomick
Dave Tomick is a Founder and CFO of PAW, Inc., a Cary based company engaged in GPS based tracking systems. From 1997 to 2004 he was Executive Vice President and CFO of SpectraSite Communications, another Cary based company that was engaged in the wireless tower business. He is a graduate of Denison University and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Dave lives in Cary with his wife Jane and sons Jack and Will, and currently is a member of the Board of Advisors of The College of Management at NC State and The Carying Place, as well as the Board of Directors at several privately held companies.

Mike Trainor
Mike Trainor is Vice President of National Accounts at Cary-based S&A Cherokee, a public relations, marketing and publishing firm. A Rhode Island native, Mike recently relocated to the Triangle from Boston, where he spent nearly 14 years in the public relations industry. Over the course of his career, he has represented some of the world’s most recognized brands, including Virgin, Deloitte, Oracle, OppenheimerFunds, TD Ameritrade, Sallie Mae and Web Reservations International. Mike has designed and implemented public relations campaigns for numerous B2B and consumer-facing products and brands, and understands how to use rapidly evolving media to the benefit of his clients. Mike is proud to serve as Head Coach for the Miracle League’s Indians.
